Chinese airlines make $1bn in September

The recovery may be slowing down from its impressive initial gallop, but Chinese airlines are maintaining their lead, earning nearly US$1 billion in September.
According to the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), total operating revenue climbed 46 per cent to CNY 27.26 billion($4.1 billion).
September cargo traffic volume increased 9.1 per cent to 515,700 tonnes. This leaves the year-to-date cargo traffic volume up 29.9 per cent to 4.1 million tones.
