UK-based MK Airlines, forced from the skies earlier this year, has entered liquidation. John Alexander of Carter Baker Winter and Stephen Katz of David Rubin & Partners being named joint liquidation.
The cargo carrier had been struggling financially for several years prior to entering administration for the second time earlier this year.
Launched in 1990, at the end of its life its fleet included eight 747s and three 727s.
Alexander said:"We will be moving quickly to ascertain the exact asset position and we are currently engaging with the secured creditors, airports/landlords and former insolvency office holders. Unsecured creditors will be contracted in due course."
Katz added: "This case represents an exceptionally complex challenge."
